Job overview

Rosemary Works is a small and friendly independent school on the borders of Hackney and Islington.

Our warm, creative ethos and family feel make for a happy and successful learning environment where the children and staff know each other well. Our leavers go on to some of the top secondary schools in and around London and, as we build on our success, we are looking to create a new and exciting role for the right candidate.

The Head Teacher and Directors at Rosemary Works School would like to appoint an Assistant Head Teacher in a role that would suit an experienced teacher or existing assistant head teacher that share our ethos and values.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate practitioner with drive, commitment and enthusiasm who will join our leadership team predominantly focusing on assessment, co-SENCo (with the Head Teacher) and to build upon our vision to make a positive difference to the lives of our children.

The successful candidate will join a talented and dedicated team, committed to further enhancing the excellent provision we offer our children. They will be an inspirational role model, have a deep understanding of how children thrive, and they should have a proven track record for making a significant impact on raising standards. As an expanding school, this is a new role and an excellent opportunity for a skilful leader to make an impact. They will need to demonstrate a commitment to and evidence of success in sustaining academic excellence, and development of the wider aspects of school life; that enable every child to succeed. Applicants should be excellent classroom practitioners in their own right; as well as being able to work as part of a well established team.

Potential candidates are recommended to visit the school. Please contact learn@rosemaryworks.com to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Rosemary Works School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

Applications deadline is 22nd April.  Interviews will take place week commencing 6th May.
