Job overview

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional Assistant Headteacher who is enthusiastic about providing a first class education for our students, raising achievement and promoting high expectations.

The successful applicant will have:

  • strong commitment to raising the aspirations and achievement of young people
  • clear vision and personal drive
  • high level of interpersonal skill 
  • the ability to inspire and lead others
  • characteristics which include being pro-active, enthusiastic, optimistic and resilient 
  • extensive experience at leading in a complex inner-city community school or academy


The precise nature of the role will be agreed dependent on the skills of the successful applicant.

It is worth noting that we will use “The National Standards of Excellence for Headteachers (2015)” as a guide for our decision making process.
