Shaftesbury High School supports 175 pupils aged 11 to 19 all with a wide range of complex special educational needs.
The school is looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher from April 2018.
The position will directly oversee a Key Stage and relevant areas of SIP.
You will have areas of responsibility across all aspects of school leadership under the direction of the Head Teacher.
You will:
• Play a major role in formulating the aims, objectives of the school and establish policies through which this can be achieved in school.
• Be responsible for the professional standards and curriculum of all pupils including monitoring of progress towards engagement and achievement.
Ideally, you will have had experience of working with pupils in a specialist setting. You will receive an extensive induction programme, have a mentor and, opportunities for continuous professional development.
