ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER / HEAD OF SIXTH FORM

LEADERSHIP SCALE 11-15

The Governors are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and experienced teacher to join the Senior Leadership Team. Through the very nature of this busy and wide-ranging role, this post will provide the successful candidate with experience in a range of whole school issues, and will be excellent preparation for future promotion.

There are currently 241 students in the Sixth Form and we are looking for a driven individual to grow this further, ensuring the security of our broad and exciting curriculum at Post-16. A-Level pass rates at Wollaston Sixth Form continue to rise year on year, with approximately 50% of all A-level exams graded A*-B. To continue the progress in Sixth Form, we are looking for individuals who have recent and sustained success in raising standards as a middle leader, and who possess highly developed skills of leadership and management. You should also be an excellent classroom practitioner, who can evidence your ability to initiate and deliver school improvement strategies.

Leadership of the Sixth Form is a high profile position at Wollaston and the successful candidate will be an individual who will play a significant role in both strategic and practical leadership of the whole school. Specific responsibilities will also include line management of at least one faculty area.
