ABOUT THE ROLE
The governors of Onslow St Audrey’s are seeking to appoint to the Senior Leadership Team an Assistant Headteacher who is an outstanding practitioner and inspirational leader with ambition. We are looking for someone who wants to develop their leadership skills further in a highly supportive team with the aim to ensure that all our young people learn, contribute and thoroughly enjoy school life whilst driving and delivering school improvement and strong results.
We wish to appoint an outstanding teacher, well qualified for the senior leadership post with a proven track record of significantly raising pupil attainment, achievement and progress. We are seeking someone who is focused, resilient and good humoured, has extensive secondary school experience as well as demonstrable proven success in leading teams, raising standards and the using data effectively. Applicants should also possess excellent communication skills, be extremely motivated and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
Specific responsibilities will be agreed with the successful candidate. They will be expected to play a role in the strategic development of the school and will most likely lead on one or more of the following areas: curriculum,
teaching and learning, child protection and pastoral care, assessment, data and student progress, and student voice. The current post holder’s specific responsibilities include leading the pastoral team, behaviour, safeguarding, Child Protection and student welfare across the school. This area was rated as “Good” by Ofsted in February 2017.

Onslow St Audrey's School is a co-educational academy school based in Hertfordshire for students aged 11-18. It is a non-denominational school.
