To this end we have take innovative approaches to developing teaching practice which is rooted in, and informed by evidence of "What works". Our philosophy of teaching is underpinned by Professor Rob Coe's statement that "Learning happens when you think hard". Together, across subjects and experience we work tirelessly and collaboratively on our pedagogy.

Because of our insistence on teaching that challenges, our students are; studious, hard working, resilient and resourceful. They know how to learn and they realise the importance of "thinking hard". Visitors, including OFSTED comment on students abilities to struggle and overcome difficult tasks; "Teachers ask challenging questions of pupils and receive detailed explanations".  "Pupils are challenged to think for themselves and explain their learning in a range of activities"
