Job overview

We require an Inclusion Lead to assist in the promotion, direction and oversight of excellent outcomes and progress for our students with SEND. You will determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEND) policy and provision in the school by working with the SLT and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for SEND students and  provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies

You will be expected to fulfil the responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the STPCD as well as be the Designated Teacher for Looked After and previously looked after children.

 What you will need to succeed:

  • Hold or be willing to undertake the National Qualification for SENDCo 
  • Hold QTS and demonstrate an ability to teach well across the schools 
  • A proven track record of excellent outcomes for children  
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills  
  • A proven track record of supporting staff to develop their practice  
  • Effective leadership qualities  
  • Be able to lead and manage the creation and implementation of the School Strategic Development Plan 
  • Support the evaluation of the effectiveness of the school's policies and developments and analyse their impact on vulnerable pupils  
  • Ensure that parents are well informed about the curriculum, targets, individual pupils' progress and achievement
