This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join the Stamford Park Trust. Required from September 2026, we are looking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher at Longdendale High School. The role represents an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and committed leader to develop their career by taking on a key senior leadership responsibility for Inclusion. The successful applicant will have responsibility for the strategic direction and management of key areas of responsibility across the school.  The specific responsibilities of the role will be determined by the skills of the successful candidate and the needs of the school. 

As an inspirational leader and teacher, your key responsibility will be to provide strategic leadership and direction which secures striking impact on standards and outcomes for students in our school. You will be part of a highly committed team of professionals who are passionate about raising standards and who are determined to further develop teaching and improve learning outcomes and overall provision for all students. The Assistant Headteacher will contribute significantly to driving school improvement by implementing and leading on high quality provision that leads to positive outcomes for learners. This role will allow you to develop your own career in an innovative, challenging yet highly supportive educational trust. We will invest in you and provide you with the best resourcing and a personal program of professional development.

Longdendale High School is a forward thinking and popular comprehensive 11-16 academy set at the edge of the Peak District on the border of Tameside and Derbyshire. We have a current intake of 850 learners with cohorts typically above the national average in terms of prior attainment.
