Due to the promotion of one of our very experienced Assistant Headteachers, we are looking for an exceptional leader to join our Senior Leadership Team to help move the academy from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’.

The specific responsibilities will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate, although it is likely to include having leadership responsibility for Intervention Strategies and academic monitoring. Applicants are required to demonstrate in their application how their leadership ability and experience have positively impacted on student achievement and progress, and/or demonstrate their contribution to the development of teaching and learning initiatives and their positive impact on staff development, quality of lesson observations and raising standards.

Applicants must have a strong academic track record, experience of effective management, the ability to lead and be capable of building good working relationships with staff, students and parents. The role will suit an experienced middle manager seeking an opportunity for professional development or someone already experienced at senior level.

As this is a senior position it carries a reduced teaching timetable. Please state your teaching subject specialism in your application.

Applicants will also need to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to accept new ideas and a thorough commitment to student learning and achieving their potential, with evidence of high quality professional development and leadership skills. We aim to recruit staff with the vision, motivation, drive and determination to ensure all our students receive a first class education and who will rise to the challenge of building on success. You must be influential and be able to demonstrate expertise and enthusiasm for raising standards school wide, as well as an outstanding effective and inspiring teaching style.

In return, the successful candidate can expect:

• Comprehensive tailored induction programme

• Commitment to continuing professional development

• Opportunity for further progression

• An extensive support programme

You would be joining a ‘good’ school passionate about their students and about those students succeeding and achieving their ‘Personal Best’.
