Assistant Headteacher

We are seeking an excellent teacher with a proven track record of high quality teaching and SEND at the heart of their provision. This is an excellent opportunity to have the best of class teaching while developing leadership and leading SEN across school. This will provide the opportunity to support the most vulnerable of learners to be the best they can be and build on the excellent provision already in place. 

As a teacher it is likely that you will lead a lower KS2 class but we are open to experience of all phases as we want the best possible candidate for our school. This is a key role within our Senior Leadership Team at Smithies Moor; a fantastic opportunity for someone with drive, enthusiasm and high aspirations to work in partnership with school leaders to make a real difference to our academy and young people. You will lead by example and inspire and develop others, building on our many successes and driving forward academy improvement. With this in mind, we are seeking to appoint an ambitious and engaging Assistant Headteacher; someone who can help shape and deliver a shared vision for the future and take a lead in developing the academy. This is an opportunity to be part of an important phase in Smithies Moor’s journey, as we seek further improvement and to provide our pupils with the best possible opportunities to succeed and fulfil potential.
