We are seeking an excellent and well-qualified practitioner to join the Headship Team of our 11-16 girls’ comprehensive Church of England school. We are extremely proud of our school which has been very positively commented on in our most recent OfSTED inspection report:

“The behavior of pupils in lessons and around the school is exemplary.”

“Pupils’ attitudes to learning are overwhelmingly positive and pupils are eager to do well.”

(OfSTED Section 8 Inspection report November 2017)

We welcome applications from colleagues who feel that they can evidence an excellent contribution to our school community in leading ‘Learning and Teaching’ across the school. The successful candidate will initially lead from this position of strength and then be supported to develop other aspects of leadership to enable further career progression. Shortlisted candidates must demonstrate passion and rigor, in their approach, and be innovative in setting up systems to secure improvements across the whole school.

Prior involvement in leading whole-school initiatives would be an advantage but is not essential.

Ofsted report

Aspirational leadership embeds a culture of strong pastoral care and high academic standards. Davison is a harmonious school where everyone pulls together to do their best. Morale among pupils and teachers is high at your inclusive school. Pupils we spoke to described the school as like a ‘big family’. Your staff share your vision and work very hard to maintain the school’s many strengths and to improve it further. There is a caring and stimulating ethos, which enables pupils to typically make strong progress and achieve well.
