We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Headteacher to further improve the quality of education at this good and improving school. The successful candidate will be joining the school at an exciting time in its development and be able to build on significant improvements over the last few years. If appointed, you will be joining an ambitious and dynamic leadership team and a talented and committed group of staff determined to drive the school forward.
We welcome applications from people with proven leadership experience in a range of areas. The specific responsibilities for the successful candidate will be discussed and agreed through the selection process and post-appointment. The ability to teach English, Maths or Humanities would be beneficial.

The school is a mixed community school with over 1,000 students on role. Approximately 30% of our students come from ethnic minority backgrounds and we have a resource provision for physically impaired students which really adds to the positive and harmonious atmosphere around school. We have an excellent 6th form partnership arrangement with Lawnswood School (another good local school) and together we offer post-16 provision to rival the best in the city – ‘The quality of provision for post-16 students remains good. Students make consistently good progress over time’ (Ofsted).
