Job overview

The ACE Academy is a rapidly improving 11-18 Academy with a new Executive Head teacher, Mr Gary Hill. The new Executive Head teacher, and senior leadership team, are seeking inspirational, professional and dynamic teachers to build upon our strengths and take the academy forward on the next stage of our journey.

We are looking to appoint an innovative and inspirational leader to the role of Assistant Head teacher responsible for Maths. This post is an excellent opportunity for a Mathematics Specialist who wants to extend their experience beyond that of a Head of Department. If you have been a Lead Practitioner, outstanding Head of Department/Second or SLE this post would enable you to maintain close links with classroom practice whilst developing your own leadership potential and whole school responsibility.

We need an excellent classroom practitioner with a successful track record who is able to demonstrate the skills required to inspire colleagues and students with their passion for maths. You will bring ideas, energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to measuring progress and raising attainment.

The Academy is placing a high priority on excellent behaviour, attendance, respect, self-discipline and highest standards of uniform as an expected norm. As part of the Education Central Multi Academy Trust, all staff at The ACE Academy benefit from thorough and professional development. CPD is bespoke and supports and enhances the career of colleagues at every stage of their teaching career and clear pathways to leadership are available from day one.

We believe that if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well. The reward of seeing our young people engaged, enjoying and successful in their learning, complimented by involvement in sports, art, culture and other wider curricular endeavours, far outweighs the relentless efforts that we put into our everyday duties.

If you are willing to go the extra mile and share our ambition to provide an outstanding education to fantastic children, then we would welcome your application.

Informal visits to the academy are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Gary Hill would be delighted to show you around the school personally. Please contact Hays Education to arrange this.

Ofsted

“Students speak highly of all aspects of the sixth form. They could explain how they are helped to keep safe from issues such as radicalisation and know how to form strong relationships through work done in assemblies. They appreciate the support they receive from tutors and feel the sixth form is well led.”
