Redden Court School, a place where "Pupils are enthusiastic about coming to school to learn." (OFSTED SEPTEMBER 2016)

Would you like to move your career forward in a friendly environment with eager students and support from an experienced leadership team, in one of the best mixed comprehensive schools for 11-16 in our Local Authority. We are oversubscribed, serve Harold Wood well and we are only twenty minutes from the heart of London.

Our staff turnover is low because teachers come to us and realise our grass is indeed greener. We invest in our staff to help them become the best possible teachers they can be. There are excellent opportunities for people who work hard. Effort is often recognised in career development. Many who came to us as NQTS now have substantial leadership roles. Our CPD programme and collegiate approach are highly effective. Staff morale is high and so is that of our students and their community.

Redden Court's most recent results place us in the top 20% nationally for progress, the 10% in English and Maths for Progress 8.

Our school mantra is "Committed to Success for All". That includes our staff and we want the very best for our students. Less than a year ago OFSTED said we "have created an inclusive community where pupils and staff relate well to each other. The school is focused on working with families to raise aspirations for pupils."

If you are an inspiring, inspirational, enthusiastic and innovative leader who recognises that the best leaders continually strive to improve, we would like to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking school and leadership team. We require an individual who is passionate about pastoral care and has the wellbeing of all students at the forefront of their practice. As the Success for All Educational Trust develops we will also need an individual who is flexible enough to work across the Trust.

The Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) at present includes Redden Court School and The Royal Liberty School. Safeguarding and pastoral care is at the forefront of the MAT and we provide specific support, tailored to our students' needs. You will be responsible for the anti-bullying steering group, alternative provision and attendance across the school. In this role you will inspire and motivate teachers and students to make the best of the opportunities available to them in our thriving school.

We are looking for someone who can work effectively within a strong Senior Leadership Team. This would include someone who has the experience of leading whole school initiatives and also experience within pastoral care. The candidate must possess a genuine commitment to making a positive contribution to the school. We are looking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational senior leader to take on this exciting pastoral role.

The successful candidate will be committed to our vision, our values and ethos, and have the interpersonal skills and ability to lead staff and students to achieve all they can. If you would like to speak to the Head Teacher, Mr P Ward or Mrs L Sexton, Deputy Head of Pastoral, please feel free to telephone the school. We welcome visits to the school from potential applicants.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of chidren and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. We require the successful candidate to undertake an enhanced criminal records check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Please apply online. Should you experience any technical difficulty please contact Education HR on 01708 431636.

Closing date: Thursday 6th July 2017 at 12pm
Interviews will take place on: Wednesday 12th July and Thursday 13th July 2017

Redden Court School is the lead school in the Success for All Educational Trust.
