We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate individual with experience at either senior or middle management level, who is inspirational and has the vision and commitment to contribute to the Headship Team of our school. You will have specific responsibility for the leadership and development of KS3 and the advancement and management of the personal development of our KS3 and KS4 students. This will include PSHE, citizenship, work-related education and careers, and enrichment and extra-curricular activities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • leadership experience, vision and the ability to drive forward change;
  • a passion for working with young people and offering them the breadth of opportunity and aspirations to excel regardless of their background and circumstances;
  • a proven track record of impacting positively on standards;
  • a partnership approach to working with staff, students and parents/carers;
  • the skill to innovate and embrace change;
  • an excellent knowledge and understanding of exceptional curriculum provision;
  • excellent communication and organisational skills and be a reflective practitioner.

Prendergast Vale School is an all through school, nursery to Year 11, and is part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools. It is one of the top performing mixed schools for E-Bacc in Lewisham. The school benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the Federation.
