Assistant Headteacher (Personal Development)

The Governors of this highly successful and over-subscribed mixed 11-18 Specialist Science College are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced middle leader looking to take their next step into senior leadership.

Whilst maintaining a teaching responsibility, the successful candidate will have whole-school responsibilities including overseeing the RSE curriculum, the PSHE provision and the school’s extra-curricular programme as well as being a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Attendance at SLT meetings will be compulsory as part of the role.

You will join a highly focused, supportive and driven Leadership Team who share a genuine care, love and respect for all our school community and work with committed and exceptional teaching and support staff who are continually striving for excellence.

St Gregory’s Catholic Science College has been identified by the Diocese in October 2019 and OFSTED in March 2019 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice and by the DfE as a National Lead Behaviour School. Pupil behaviour is excellent and we have a happy and cohesive staff.
