This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and experienced middle leader/senior leader to develop their leadership experience as part of forward thinking primary team in all through 3-19 community school. The school was judged good with an outstanding sixth form in July 2018.

The school is located less than 10 minutes’ walk from Barking tube and mainline station (25 minutes from Liverpool Street station) and is easily accessible by road.

We are seeking an Assistant Head (Inclusion Lead) who will provide leadership and coach our Primary SENDCO. The candidate will be the Primary DSL and will work collaboratively with the 3-19 Safeguarding Team. The role will include the following responsibilities:
· Ensuring safeguarding practice, policies, procedures, systems and training are robust, up-to-date and implemented by all staff
· Lead person for behaviour and pastoral care
· Line management responsibilities
· Manage and coach the SENDCO
- Supporting the Attendance team, aspects of Admissions (including new arrivals), EAL data and other emerging aspects of school life as part of the 3-19 team
- 60% Teaching Commitment
- To lead on an area of the curriculum and or Key Stage
