Oakwood High School is an over-subscribed, 21st Century 11-16 Secondary School that puts pupils at the heart of everything we do. We are a good school with ‘Outstanding Leadership and Management at all levels’.
This is a key leadership role; the main purpose of which is to provide strategic leadership for development of the curriculum and data systems to support work around pupil outcomes; this will include understanding, establishing and reporting on accountability measures and embedding this work further across the school. Reference must be made to developing an outstanding curriculum and understanding accountability measures in support of our drive to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted judgement.
Candidates will be truly committed to supporting pupils to achieve, have high aspirations for pupils’, staff and all others associated with the Trust and our Learning Community. The candidate must be a proven leader, with a track record of success who can drive strategic thinking, develop and implement educationally sound, imaginative and dynamic ideas to improve outcomes for our pupils.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can represent the Trust and the school positively and professionally in a range of contexts, forging and establishing links with other practitioners in other institutions through a support and challenge network.
Oakwood High School is a Leadership School for ITT provision and recognised as “a school of excellent practice” for NQTs. In addition the school offers CPD routes through a Core Leadership Development Curriculum with the Learners First Schools Partnership.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Wednesday 18 October 2017 at 12 noon; an assessment centre will be held on Monday 23 October 2017, candidates shortlisted following this will be invited to interview on Wednesday 25 October 2017.
