The Headteacher and Governing body seek to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational Assistant Headteacher!

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

Salary: L11 - L15 (£61,789 - £67,928)

Woodfield is a thriving and vibrant learning environment for secondary age and post 16 students with learning and additional needs. All students are challenged to work to the very best of their ability. We know that students learn best when they feel safe, valued and can adopt a 'can try' attitude. We are a trauma informed school.

We can offer a friendly, supportive working environment with variety and opportunity for further professional development. We welcome candidates from the Special, Primary and Secondary sector who have experience of supporting pupils with SEN.


The successful candidate will have;

*Hold QTS/QTLS status

*Experience of senior management and leadership, with recent, relevant experience of middle leadership with TLR responsibility or above

*Have experience in leading and supporting staff with behaviour management, Risk Assessment and developing behaviour strategies for pupils with complex needs and whose behaviour may challenge

*Have experience of leading on whole school INSETs

*Experience of day to day operational organisation of the school and key events throughout the year

*Have experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, some of whom may present with emotional and mental health needs.

*Have experience of delivering a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum which enables pupils to embark upon a learning journey which meets their individual needs enabling them to reach their personal potential

*Be committed to breaking down barriers to learning and make learning fun for all

*Be passionate about the opportunities for pupils with Learning and Additional Needs (LAN) and be committed to inclusion

*Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with pupils, parents, staff and Governors and all stakeholders engaged with the school
