Due to continued expansion and growth in our thriving school, Safa Community School (SCS) is seeking to appoint a highly qualified, inspirational and experienced leader to the post of Assistant Headteacher.  The main responsibilities will be determined subject to the strengths of the candidate. Naturally, you’ll bring an excellent understanding of pedagogy, a strong track record of accelerating progress and a creative approach to teaching and learning. You’ll be an inspiring leader with a natural flair for challenging and empowering others to improve and strive for excellence continuously.

Requirements: 

  • A high-quality degree.
  • Experience in Middle leadership (Essential).
  • Experience of Senior Leadership (Desirable).
  • Leadership qualification (Desirable).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A proven track record of outstanding teaching at all levels, including at GCSE and A-Level.
  • A drive and enthusiasm to inspire, nurture and empower teachers in pursuit of excellence.
  • High expectations that motivate, support and challenge.
  • A confident educator who can organise, shape and lead an effective team.  
  • A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life . 
  • The drive to continue to develop professionally through bespoke, high-quality CPD programmes.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment.

Candidate Profile

It is desirable that the successful candidate:

  • Will hold relevant qualifications and QTS.
  • Had strong leadership and management experience.
  • Have an understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Be an outstanding teacher with the ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and progress of students.
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Actively keeps up to date with the developments in Secondary education.
  • Has a willingness to develop as a professional, taking opportunities to train further to progress in their career.
