Shooter’s Grove is on a transformational journey. The school is in the very final stages of joining the INOVA Multi Academy Trust. The Trust is already investing heavily in the school building and providing support to all areas of school life. The post holder will work closely with the new Head of School and Trust leaders to deliver a great education from nursery up through to the point of transition to secondary school. The majority of pupils from Shooters Grove move to Forge Valley School also within INOVA Multi Academy Trust. The opportunities this brings for our young people are unlimited.

Job overview

You will have a clear and compelling vision and a strong belief in the importance of education, supporting the Head of School alongside the Leadership Team in active leadership duties to direct the school’s wider mission. We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience and expertise in any area of school leadership. This includes Quality of Education, Behaviour, Attendance, Personal Development and Achievement. Although not essential, we would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience of delivering technological innovation in the classroom. Staff at the school are particularly excited about our pioneering digital strategy. Whatever your expertise, it is vital that you share the same ambitions, values, and determination held by all existing leaders.

You will be well supported by an experienced and ambitious team, both within school and across the INOVA Multi Academy Trust.

Job requirements

· Qualified Teacher Status and a proven record of success and achievement in key areas of school leadership.

· Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills with both staff, pupils and parents.

· Effective provision of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.

· Ability to utilise data to monitor and sustain whole-school attainment and progress.
