The Governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic leader to the key post of Assistant Headteacher at this highly successful mixed grammar school.  This is an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team at our outstanding school.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• a high level of communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• motivation, commitment, ambition and the potential to reach Headship

The responsibilities will include:

• supporting the academic, pastoral and co-curricular development of   our students
• monitoring and evaluating student progress and attainment
• leading and developing staff teams
• leading on whole-school initiatives

About Clitheroe Royal Grammar School

Since our foundation in 1554 our school has provided a centre of excellence, offering superb teaching and learning opportunities. Clitheroe Royal Grammar School is a mixed selective 11-18 Single Academy Trust. The Main School (Years 7-11) is at our Chatburn Road site where we currently have 782 students on roll, set to increase to 900 by September 2027.

The Sixth Form Centre is housed at the York Street site. We have 650 students in our Sixth Form from over 40 secondary schools. Students study a wide range of A Level subjects. The majority of our Sixth Form students go on to Higher Education, with most progressing to their first choice destination.
