The governors of St Joseph’s are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven and dedicated person to join our senior leadership team and to continue to develop this successful school. The assistant headteacher post is an out of class role and would require leadership of the SENDCO and Inclusion responsibilities of the school.

We wish to appoint:

  • An assistant headteacher who is able to support and develop the Catholic ethos of the school and school community
  • A person who has a passion and drive to develop outstanding SEND and Inclusion practice within a primary school and its community
  • A person who values all children as individuals and ensures that all children are confident and able to achieve their full potential.
  • A person with a proven track record of outstanding teaching practice and achievement with high expectations of best practice in teaching and learning.
  • A person with a track record of successful middle or senior leadership in the primary sector
  • A person with a strategic vision for improving the school in partnership with the Headteacher, CEO, Governors and Trust Board.

  • Is forward thinking and has the vision and creativity to lead change.
  • Is open to new opportunities and challenges.
  • Is committed to working collaboratively with pupils, staff, the Headteacher, CEO, Governors, parents/carers, and with both the Parish and local communities.
