Values and vision

Debenham High School focuses on four core values: pride, participation, responsibility and excellence.

The secondary school aims to provide a happy and caring environment in which pupils can learn and thrive. Teachers strive to challenge students to meet their full potential. The curriculum is broad, balanced and demanding to help pupils acquire attitudes and skills that are essential to adult working life. Students are encouraged to develop moral and Christian values that are consistent with the Church of England's teachings.

Ofsted report

“This is an outstanding school. Its mission is “to provide a top quality education for pupils of all abilities in a caring, challenging, supportive and attractive environment in which all members of the community are valued and where Christian moral values are encouraged”. It does this very well indeed by placing a high value on every individual pupil and providing the right environment in which pupils respect each other, learn good manners and show an eagerness to succeed. Parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the school; many consider it “fantastic”.”
