Assistant Headteacher (Upper School)

North Bridge House Prep School is looking to appoint an Assistant Head Teacher (Upper School) from September 2020.

North Bridge House Preparatory School, founded in 1939, is an outstanding independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 7-13, with some 465 pupils on roll. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and conscientious practitioner.  The role might suit a current Head of Department or Head of Year. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the demands of the 11+ and 13+ processes and will have overall responsibility for the academic and pastoral care of some 65 pupils in the Upper School (Years 7 & 8).  They will also contribute to whole school strategic decision-making, bringing new ideas and thinking to the Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will teach a reduced timetable (approx. 50%).  There is a preference for Mathematics or English, but any discipline will be considered.
