Ardingly College is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant House Supervisor to join a busy and dynamic team.
The post holder will support a team of professionals in the Prep School to ensure the security, welfare, well-being and development of all students in the House. They will build positive, appropriate relationships with the students to promote their physical and emotional welfare. The post holder will support the students to maintain good standards of care for the house, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and will ensure that key cleaning and housekeeping activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
The Assistant House Supervisor will complete cleaning, tidying and bed making duties but will also be prepared to give emotional support to students and be available to talk and listen.
The post holder may be required to attend and support official house and school functions and this may require occasional irregular working hours. This is a non-residential position.
Experience of housekeeping in an educational setting is desirable. Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to achieve standards in line with performance criteria and to work as part of a flexible team.
The hours for this role are 20 hours per week, during term time only. Working hours are from 2.00pm until 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility to support functions is also required. The salary is £7,239.00 per annum.
