We are currently seeking a motivated individual to work within the IT Department.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an IT professional looking for the next step in their career or to develop on their existing skills.  

As a key member of the IT team the successful candidate will;

  • Assist the IT Director in the delivery of a safe, effective IT resource for use by students and staff across schools in the Trust.
  • Assist the IT Director in initiating, developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing programmes and systems to support high quality IT provision in the Trust.
  • Assist the IT Director in ensuring that legal and contractual obligations relating to IT resources, systems and services are met.
  • Supervise and allocate professional responsibilities and tasks to the IT Support Team in the absence of the IT Director.
  • Line manage IT technicians and apprentices.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong understanding of computer networks and operating systems, usage and equipment configuration including Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP. Windows Server 2012 and 2016, Windows 10 and Mac OSX
  • Understanding of the importance of the IT Support team in responding to user needs
  • Understanding how mobile devices are used in a work or school environment
  • Demonstrable experience of managing part of an IT network
  • Demonstrable experience of managing others.
  • Experience of working in a high pressure environment
  • Experience of delivery support, advice and training to end users
  • Minimum Maths & English GCSE (A*-C) or equivalent
  • Proven experience of working in 1st/2nd/3rd line support role
  • Proven experience of maintaining and supporting PC, server and networking equipment

Central Services

The nucleus of the Trust is our multi-functional and dedicated Central Services Team who provides continuous operational support to all of our schools across the Trust. This includes HR, Recruitment, Finance, Payroll & Pensions Administration, Marketing & Communications, IT, Estates & Facilities Management and Compliance and Data. Each team works tirelessly to ensure all services run smoothly and efficiently, enabling our teaching staff to focus on delivering an outstanding education for our students.

Our Schools

Over the years the Trust has expanded to now include 6 Secondary Schools and 3 Primary Schools. We have two further schools in the pre-opening phase: Laurus Grace, a school catering for students with significant social, emotional and mental health needs, and Crown Street Primary, a new primary in the heart of Manchester City Centre. Our family of schools are:

· Gorsey Bank Primary School - joined the Trust in 2016

· Cheadle Hulme Primary School  - opened in September 2018

· Laurus Cheadle Hulme   - opened in September 2018

· Laurus Ryecroft  - opened in September 2018

· Didsbury High School  - opened in September 2019

· Hazel Grove High School- joined the Trust in September 2019

· Woodford Primary School - opened in September 2022

· Priestnall School - joined the Trust in September 2023

· Crown Street Primary School - opening in September 2024

· Laurus Grace - opening in 2025
