Assistant Office Manager

£21,410 – £23,429 inclusive per annum

Permanent and full-time (36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

Starting September/October 2017

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Assistant Office Manager to work in a busy and friendly office. The college office was recently refurbished and has a bright and modern theme. It currently accommodates two full-time and two part-time members of staff. The successful applicant will support the Office Manager in her absence to supervise the office team and manage the day-to-day running of the office. In addition, the applicant will support the college office team to provide a full range of administrative support including liaison with teaching staff, students and the general public. 

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm who is able to work under pressure and use their own initiative. Sound word-processing skills, ICT competency and a good telephone manner are essential.

The salary will be on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff salary scale between Points 23 and 26, currently £18,905 – £20,255 per annum depending on experience, plus London Weighting £2,505 per annum. A generous pension scheme, holiday package and bike scheme are available.
