Starting Salary (£44,000-£56,000 subject to experience)

Accrington Academy opened in September 2008 and has experienced continued growth and success. Examination results have shown year on year improvements and we are oversubscribed with a successful and a consistently growing Post 16 provision. We now seek to appoint an additional member of our Executive Team in order to maximise the opportunities for our students, staff and local community. 

The scope of the role is quite simple but critical - lead the Academy’s development of teaching and learning. 

You will need to:

• Be highly qualified, inspirational and experienced teacher who has developed secure  management and leadership skills within your present post 
• Have a sound understanding of school wide improvement and will have initiated and led strategies to raise standards of attainment and engagement in educational activities
• Be committed to a culture of continuous improvement within an inclusive environment 
• Have the ability to motivate and inspire students and staff 
• Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills
