Ormiston Endeavour Academy is looking for an exceptionally enthusiastic and organised person who can take on the role of the Assistant Principal and Head of Mathematics, whilst being able to use their skills to support the visions and values of the academy.

The Assistant Principal and Head of Mathematics will provide vision, leadership and management on all aspects of student achievement within their department and to overcome any barriers that may be preventing them from achieving their true potential. They will enthuse, motivate, inspire and generate a love for learning. The Assistant Principal will ensure students' individual needs are identified and supported to ensure all students have equal access to relevant learning opportunities.

We want you to:

  • engage the academy stakeholders in order to achieve accepted outcomes
  • continue to raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the department and to monitor and
    support student progress
  • lead on developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others
  • help manage and deploy teaching / support staff, financial and physical resources within the department 
  • be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • be passionate about contributing effectively to whole school improvement
  • have the vision, imagination and commitment to add to the strengths of the academy, to meet the highest standards and to be a role model for our students.
