We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Morris Education Trust (MET) in the role of Assistant Principal at Witchford Village College. MET is a recently formed and fast-growing multi-academy trust, currently including two Village Colleges and a new special free school with an autism specialism.  At Witchford Village College (WVC) there is also a specialist autism unit and we pride ourselves in inclusivity and opportunity for all.

If you share our passion for education, and would want “Excellence as Standard” to be the default for all provision in College, then we can provide true scope to make a difference within our school and to the lives of our young people.  Rated “Good” by Ofsted in 2016, we are determined to build on that solid foundation and have created this new role of Assistant Principal to drive progress and results and manage change at the College through clear prioritisation, direction and staff motivation.

You will be able to implement your innovative teaching ideas personally and introduce pedagogic improvements across the school. We feed into the main Cambridge Sixth Form and Regional Colleges and are committed to preparing our students well for this move and for their future lives.

Close to the historic and beautiful city of Ely, we offer a rural location,  excellent for an enhanced quality of life, an onsite Gym and free parking.

Our Trust is committed to equal opportunities, to safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment and we ensure all our recruitment and selection processes share this commitment. This position is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS checks.
