The role
As a senior leader within Central, you'll play a role in determining the future direction of the Academy. In relation to English, you'll work with colleagues in the department to keep your subject exciting, relevant and enjoyable, as well as create an ambitious, innovative and motivating classroom. Personally and through the wider teaching team, you'll inspire and challenge colleagues to develop your students into highly effective, independent learners and achieve their individual potential. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a successful and rapidly improving Academy. We are driven by a forward thinking philosophy and a vibrant, positive culture. In a friendly and welcoming school, with supportive colleagues, you'll be able to make a real impact on our Academy, and on the lives of children across the country.
About You
You're an inspirational leader and practitioner, knowledgeable and experienced in getting the best from people. You're pro-active, flexible and enthusiastic, you bring the innovation and commitment to further develop the teaching of English across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
United Learning
Richard Rose Central is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.
As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
