We are seeking a high performing, dynamic Assistant Principal to lead on our safeguarding and wellbeing strategy. The postholder will be based at St James Academy and join a well established and highly effective Senior Leadership Team. Since the appointment of Ian Moore as Principal at St James, the academy has become a popular and well-thought of school which is noticeable for its friendly, polite and inclusive culture. St James attracts an increasing number of first choice applications and there are currently over 800 learners on roll.

St James has seen marked improvements in its GCSE attainment and progress scores, with several individual subjects recording 100% Grade 5 plus achievements. An extensive programme of refurbishment works has been undertaken to ensure that facilities are good and well resourced.

Like all of the schools within Dudley Academies Trust, St James Academy benefits from a comprehensive range of support from the Trust’s Central Team, covering everything from Teaching & Learning to Estates Management, IT, Safeguarding and Staff Development.
