Job overview

Be a part of our journey to greatness

Are you an experienced teacher looking for your step into leadership? We are recruiting an Assistant Principal to play a key role at Oasis Academy Johanna. This is a great opportunity to not only develop professionally but also to further improve the Academy to outstanding.

You will be responsible for Teaching and Learning across the Academy but particularly for standards in KS2. You will not be class based but will cover some classes for PPA.

Our roots

Oasis Academy Johanna is an established school in the heart of Waterloo that converted to academy status, by choice, with Oasis in 2011. We are part of the thriving and innovative Oasis Waterloo Hub, dedicated to supporting pupils and their families. We are a one form entry primary with developmental plans; a true community school that admits every local child, irrespective of need. We are proud to be a fully inclusive school and have been awarded Centre of Excellence status for inclusion.

An extended community

We do not expect you to do this alone. You will be part of a leadership structure comprising: Executive Principal, Associate Principal and Inclusion Manager. You will enjoy the support and challenge of being part of a Hub as well as a family of 49 Oasis Academies, working alongside leaders in their field and gaining access to great learning and training opportunities.

Our Ideal Candidate

As a key member of the Academy Leadership Team you will champion the Oasis vision, strengthen and maintain team spirit among staff and be an excellent role-model for our pupils and families. You will need drive and enthusiasm combined with tenacity and a great sense of humour. Our staff work hard, support each other and enjoy their work.
