Role: Assistant Principal: Outcomes
Salary: L10 - 14
Start date: September 2018
Hours of work: Full time
“We aim to know every one of our students well, providing an environment that allows them to achieve what they are truly capable of… promoting both academic progress and a ‘can do’ attitude.”
Our all-through Free School opened in September 2013; we are oversubscribed and experiencing rapid growth in the primary phases. Our fantastic heritage site has been fully refurbished and provides a unique learning environment. Small year groups enable us to know every child well and personalise their learning. We are forward thinking, with the freedom to shape our school curriculum in response to the needs of the local community and businesses.
As a leader, this is a unique opportunity to bring your vision of best practice in relation to the leadership of this important aspect of education and develop innovative practice to ensure our students achieve excellent outcomes and develop a “can do” attitude.
We expect you to deliver consistently high quality teaching and we have a ‘no excuses’ culture. Together we take steps to ensure no child is left behind in their learning. As a small school, the uniqueness of each student is central to our vision and values
Most important is your attitude and approach. You will be able to:
- motivate and engage students
- engage, motivate and inspire staff
- work effectively with parents to ensure all students develop a “can do” attitude
- keen to develop pedagogical practice across the school
- committed to securing outstanding outcomes for all students in your care
- willing to play an active part in developing a new school in the next phase of its journey
As a growing school, we offer outstanding opportunities for development and further promotion. We are a strategic partner of the Oxfordshire Teaching Schools Alliance.
