About the Opportunity

We wish to recruit an inspirational and determined Assistant Principal with either the current experience or someone who’s ready to take that next step in their career, who would like to join our dedicated team and contribute to ensuring our school continues to flourish, starting Easter 2022.

We are seeking a resourceful, enthusiastic and self-motivated Assistant Principal, who will take lead responsibility for the pastoral systems and behaviour for learning at Melksham Oak.

All senior leaders will need to be flexible and collaborative to drive change through raising standards of attainment. The quality of their leadership is the key feature regardless of the responsibility, project or initiative that is being overseen. Our Assistant Principal is expected to be an excellent teacher and to have a wide repertoire of expertise from teaching and learning to behaviour management.

You must have a strong desire to achieve great outcomes for students and be able to demonstrate the ability to drive change through schools. Our successful candidate will be patient and have a passion for pastoral care and working closely with students and families. Having a sense of humour would be an asset and the ability to work co-operatively within a team setting is also essential.

  • Ideally had experience of working with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
