Job overview

We are part of Future Academies, a Multi-Academy Trust which includes three primary schools and six secondary schools in and around London and Hertfordshire. We are motivated by a mission of social change and reducing educational inequality. Our school and Trust are unique in our approach to a knowledge-rich curriculum – our school motto is Libertas per cultum (Freedom through education) – and in our strong emphasis on raising young people’s aspirations and outcomes through the teaching of classical and traditional subjects. Our children and young people study a bespoke curriculum developed by researchers at our Curriculum Centre, which places a focus on developing their cultural literacy and their awareness of the forces, words and events that have shaped our society today.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant Principal - Raising Standards to rapidly raise standards and outcomes at Laureate Academy. This is the right job for you if you believe that:

  • Every child has the right to an outstanding experience in the classroom every day
  • We should never accept that background, prior attainment or personal circumstances limit a child's potential
  • Education can transform the lives of students
  • Schools should have high expectations of staff and students every day

We are looking for an Assistant Principal to join an exciting new team at Laureate and work together to create a sustainable but high achieving school. If you are:

  • Aligned with our vision and values
  • Full of ideas about how to create and embed change
  • Innovative but evidence led
  • A champion of high standards
  • Excited to take on the challenge of turning a negative P8 into a positive

Please get in touch today!

Future Academies reserves the right to interview and appoint prior to the advert closing date.

The Laureate Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. To this end, both an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Barred List check are required for this role. We particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups.
