St Patricks is a Parish Co-educational Secondary College of approximately 430 students in Gympie. Gympie is located approximately 40 minutes from the Sunshine Coast. About St Patrick's College - Gympie

St Patrick’s College is a Catholic, co-educational, independent school that serves students between the ages of 11 and 18 years old. Located in Gympie, about 160 kilometres north of Brisbane, Queensland, the school has over 400 enrolled students.

The College was established in 1983 with 290 students, when Sisters of Mercy High School for Girls and Christian Brothers College for Boys merged into a singular school.

St Patrick’s College is spread across a number of buildings, including a three-storey building that was a part of the Christian Brothers College. As well as the standard amenities found at schools, students at St Patrick’s can access facilities such as science laboratories, home economics areas, the Technology and Art building and a sports facility.

Curriculum

St Patrick’s College’s curriculum aims at developing talents, wisdom and attributes in every student by challenging the students. The program taught at the school abides by the Australian curriculum guidelines, while also religiously influenced. Students in junior and middle school are taught the core subjects while also studying electives in areas such as the Arts, Technology, Philosophy and Health & Physical Education. Seniors at the College have a larger array of subjects to choose from and are also able to undertake school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, TAFE courses and BSDE subjects.
