The Hyndburn Academy opened in September 2017 as part of the United Learning Trust family of schools. We are now delighted to seek to appoint an Assistant Principal to join us on this exciting phase of our journey. We are hugely optimistic about the next phase of our journey and are now looking for a passionate, creative and determined individual to support the transformation. 

You will:

• Be a highly qualified, inspirational and experienced teacher who has developed secure management and leadership skills within your present post 

• Have a sound understanding of school wide improvement and will have initiated and led strategies to raise standards of attainment and engagement in educational activities

• Have the ability to motivate and inspire students and staff 

• To be flexible in order to meet the constantly changing demands of the role

The exact responsibilities of the successful candidate will be subject to negotiation in order to reflect the skills and professional development of the whole senior team as they prepare for future enhanced roles. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following aspects: 

- Development and Quality Assurance of Teaching Learning and Assessment 

- Professional Development 

- Management of the curriculum structure/timetable 

- E-learning Management.
