Assistant Principal - Sixth Form and Careers

This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly created Westcountry Schools Trust, currently employing approximately 1500 staff and growing.  We are a dynamic organisation with our students and staff at our heart.  Built on an extensive track record of excellence, the Trust combines a range of secondary colleges, primary schools and business units based in a variety of sites across Devon and Cornwall.  We are also a stone’s throw from some of the best beaches and countryside in the country.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious Senior Leadership Team and lead a thriving Sixth Form with approximately 500 students.  The post holder will also lead our Careers Programme across the College.

Ivybridge Sixth Form is a vibrant and warm community of 500 students, 22 Tutor Groups and over 40 different subjects.  We offer a blend of traditional A Level courses alongside a good number of Applied options.  Typically, 60 – 70% of our students stay on to study at Ivybridge Sixth Form, and in addition, we attract a large number of students from other local schools and Colleges each year. 

 We are looking to appoint a person with energy, enthusiasm, adaptability and a keen commitment to supporting post-16 students.
