Job overview
The WMG Academy Trust Board seek to appoint an Assistant Principal with inspirational strategic leadership skills who will lead teaching and learning and ensure that the WMG Academy’s learners’ progress is outstanding. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Academy’s educational vision is translated into the innovative curriculum.
You will be a member of the Academy’s Senior Leadership Team working to establish outstanding standards, culture and ethos. You will also be involved in student recruitment, overseeing systems, refining policies and deciding the strategic direction of the WMG Academy Solihull. You will also be expected to attend meetings which may be outside of your core working hours.

WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form in the West Midlands, serving students from the age of 14-18. The secondary school, situated in Solihull is a University Technical College (UTC), led by businesses and a university. Partners at WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull include The University of Warwick, WMG, National Grid, Rolls Royce and Jaguar Land Rover.
WMG Academy for Young Engineers Solihull opened in 2016. There is also another WMG Academy in Coventry, which opened in 2014. The Academy has purpose-built learning facilities, including dedicated engineering equipment and professional working spaces substituting classrooms.

Students are offered a wide range of enrichment activities to gain additional skills and enhance their time at the Academy.
