Contract: Fixed-term (maternity cover from Autumn 2022 to July 2023). Flexible and part time working will be considered

About the role: 

Tes is supporting the appointment of an Assistant Principal to join a leadership team for a fixed period to cover a maternity leave, and to take on the leadership of Teaching & Learning in that time. You would be joining a highly ambitious team of leaders and teachers at a pivotal point in the school’s journey as they build on the foundations of their school and continue to expand numbers in KS5 and curriculum provision in all key stages. The school are looking for an experienced school leader who is ready to lead at senior level, and who can drive strategic focus areas as well as contribute to the day to day running of the school. They welcome applicants with a range of areas of expertise, and the exact roles and responsibilities will be determined by the needs of the school and the specific experiences and abilities of the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving academic systems and processes that lead to the improvement of teaching and learning, as well as the ability to develop leaders and teachers and lead strategically on whole school initiatives. 

About the school:

The school was founded in 2013 with one class of reception children. They are now a fully-fledged all-through school, running from nursery to year 13, with over 1800 children. Their secondary school is oversubscribed, with a waiting list for every year group.

The school is part of a hugely successful network serving pupils from deprived communities.
