We are looking to appoint an inspiring and talented qualified teacher as Assistant Principal for our outstanding academy. We are looking for an inspirational and highly experienced teacher to join our outstanding academy. We want to hear from aspiring senior leaders who have a successful track record in teaching, EYFS, KS1 or KS2. We can be flexible on specific responsibilities based on the experience and expertise of the successful applicant. We are seeking talented individuals who want to continue the success of our Outstanding academy, and share our vision for providing and outstanding environment for teaching and learning.
Your opportunity
We will invest in you, providing focused coaching, mentoring and a top-quality training programme delivered through our Teaching School Alliance. The post would suit an experienced teacher looking for progression into their first senior leadership role, but would also suit an existing Assistant Principal looking to join an Outstanding academy within a highly supportive multi academy trust.
What we are looking for
The Harris Federation maintains its vision for transforming education and looks for senior leaders who share the same passion for change. You should be committed to cultivating the learning environment of our students, and be a strong communicator with proven strengths in inspiring, engaging and motivating staff.
You should be a successful teacher, holding QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree, ideally with significant experience working in schools with a similar profile and context.

Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred is a three-form entry academy with 52-place nursery located in the heart of Chafford Hundred: a modern development bordering Lakeside and Thurrock, serving a vibrant and diverse community. Chafford Hundred has good links to central London as well as being accessible from Kent and Essex. The school was graded as Outstanding in all categories by Ofsted in October 2018 when Inspectors reported being particularly impressed by the academy’s ‘high expectations of what pupils can achieve’ and recognised mathematics, writing and art as particular strengths.

Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred is a good school with high educational standards. Our children’s academic progress is regularly monitored to ensure they are all doing as well as they possibly can. The children also take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including a five-day residential visit for Year 6 pupils. Parents are very involved in school life, through our PTA, through homework projects, and through Reading and Maths Volunteers.
The school was graded as Good by Ofsted in May 2014, having moved from Requires Improvement, and is now on the pathway to securing outstanding provision for all pupils.
Academy Ethos
Our vision is to give every child coming into the Academy an education they enjoy, which both inspires and prepares them for academic and personal success now and in the future. All the staff and Governors share this vision and work together to make sure this becomes a reality.
