Job overview
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to join the Leadership Team at Joseph Leckie Academy. Our last Ofsted inspection judged JLA to be requiring improvement and this appointment is a key factor in helping us get to a grading of good / outstanding.
Although the actual responsibilities will be decided on individual strengths, the successful candidate must:
· be able to lead and promote the progress of Pupil Premium students throughout the Academy
· be an outstanding teacher with a proven record of raising achievement
· have the ability to teach maths – this is desirable but not essential
· be a successful, highly organised middle leader with considerable experience in school leadership at middle or senior level
· be able to inspire students and get the best from them
· be positive, enthusiastic and resilient
· be an effective team member
· be ambitious for further career development and enhancement
· have a clear understanding of transforming teaching and learning
· have highly developed inter – personal skills
