Willoughby Road Primary Academy is located in Scunthorpe and we are a two form entry school with approximately 335 children. The academy strongly believes in giving individual attention to the needs of the children in our care. We support the development of lifelong learners through development of life skills that include responsibility, resilience, respect and readiness for learning. It is our mission to offer every child a high quality education in a supportive, safe and challenging environment in which they feel valued and are inspired to become life-long learners who are ‘striving to be the best’.

Good relationships exist with local partnerships including the Scunthorpe schools as well as other academies within Delta Academies Trust.

We have shown an improvement in outcomes at the end of KS2 throughout the last 3 years. Our latest Ofsted report (June 2019) shows we are good in all areas and commented positively on our strong leadership and good behaviour of our pupils.

The school is at the heart of the community and has strong links with parents and local agencies. There are opportunities to work with colleagues in other Delta schools and you will have access to high quality CPD in order to further your career in teaching.
