ASSISTANT SENCO (TEACHING)

Contract type: Full time 

Start date: ASAP 

Salary: LP4 – LP8 (dependent on experience)

We are a popular and oversubscribed school. Our governors are seeking to appoint an inspiring, dynamic and committed teacher in the role of Assistant SENCO to join our team. The right candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. They will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom. They will also be an excellent classroom practitioner, with experience of supporting staff to improve their practice in supporting learner’s needs.

The successful applicant will:

·       Be a well-qualified and dynamic teacher, ready to join and contribute to an enthusiastic and fully committed department

·       Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education

·       Have a proven track record of good results and be able to develop staff within the department and across the whole school

·       Develop and implement teaching and learning initiatives which raise the quality of teaching practice of all members of staff and therefore raise standards and outcomes across the school

·       Be expected to teacher across key stage 3 and key stage 4
