Job overview

We are looking to recruit a highly successful teacher who is committed to work with the MAT SENDCo to ensure the best outcomes for all children on the SEND register throughout the school. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in further developing the SEND Department in a growing school which opened in September 2020 with its first intake of Year 7 students. 

The focus will be on establishing outstanding provision at Wren Academy Enfield and supporting the Christian vision and ethos which underpins the education on offer to our students. 

We wish to appoint a colleague to this post who has: 

  • A minimum of three years teaching experience. 
  • Outstanding teaching and interpersonal skills. 
  • The experience of coaching teachers to be even more effective in adapting lessons for the needs of all children on the SEND register. 
  • The ability and enthusiasm to motivate all students on the SEND register to achieve exceptional outcomes. 
  • Strong academic qualifications. 
  • The ability to inspire and support a team of Teaching Assistants in providing excellent pastoral care and academic support which leads to children making rapid and sustained progress. 
  • Evidence of ambition and a commitment to continuing professional development in relation to SEND. 
  • A proven ability to lead, inspire and support colleagues.

Welcome to the Wren Academy Enfield website.

In November 2022 the school community moved into fantastic state of the art buildings located on the Chase Farm Hospital with breath taking views into the city and across the green belt. Excellent Sixth Form learning and social spaces have been placed at the heart of the school ready for the creation of a thriving Sixth Form provision. Our new buildings are architecturally impressive and provide an exceptional teaching environment.

This website gives an indication of the high quality of education which is being delivered for the first pioneer students who have benefited from the experience of being fully involved in the creation of the second school provided by the Wren Academies Trust.
