  • Contribute to the facilitation of the statutory EHCP process for the academy.
  • Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning.
  • Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at Royds Hall Academy.

  • Ensure our staff are happy and healthy at work, we believe in staff voice and consistently aim to reduce workload and improve work/life balance.
  • Offer a generous benefits and training package, including first-class developmental opportunities for teaching staff led by one of our academies, Shelley College, which is the Teaching School Hub for Kirklees and Calderdale.

Royds Hall is one of eight academies within our trust and is part of a close-knit community well located for commute from Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield. Please do make arrangements to visit the academy if you wish to learn more before you apply; you will find it:

  • Is a vibrant place of learning and encouragement where children/young people are happy, settled and confident.

Our aims

Our overarching aim is to help more pupils, particularly the disadvantaged, achieve highly. Achievement includes academic success and the development of personal qualities and knowledge to lead happy, healthy and successful lives.

Our values

We believe education is all about people. Our success is measured in how we help our children and young people achieve. We can only achieve this success by employing talented, committed staff and working in partnership with parents. In doing so, we will benefit our communities. We have a distinctive way of interpreting this belief. We summarise it as:

“Valuing People, Supporting Personal Best.”

This means we seek for every one of our students and members of staff, to enjoy coming to our schools and for all of us to try our very best in everything we do. We help everybody gain the knowledge, skills and habits that can lead to a happy and successful life, both now and in the future. We believe that helping people feel valued increases the chances of them achieving their personal best, which is the highest standard we can expect anybody to achieve.
