Wingfield Academy is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Assistant SENDCO to support the leadership and development of our Special Education Needs, SEMH and Alternative Provision.
The role
Working closely with the Academy's Director of Inclusion, you will help to develop and maintain high-quality SEND provision, which will set a benchmark for other schools across the Trust. You will help to lead and manage the Learning Support department, ensuring a collaborative approach to raising levels of attainment and progress for SEND students. The role will involve using data to inform planning, track progress and continuously improve support strategies, all while fostering positive relationships with families, staff and students.

This role offers not only the chance to make a meaningful difference to our students, but also to develop the skills and experience needed for future leadership within SEND.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in teaching or tutoring SEND students, alongside a proven ability to apply ICT to enhance learning for students with SEND. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage staff and implement effective behaviour management strategies tailored to SEND learners.
