We are currently recruiting an Assistant SENDCo to work within our Learning Support team at Lingfield College Senior School to assist with managing the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) or other learning support needs, including the implementation of an inclusive curriculum.
You will be involved in planning, preparing and delivering assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individuals, small groups and/or classes, as well as developing curriculum resources to ensure that students identified with additional learning needs have the required levels of support. From time to time, you will be liaising with staff and other relevant professionals to provide and share information about students as appropriate.
This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is motivated to provide an engaging and stimulating environment for the students. You will have a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent and a knowledge and understanding of learning differences and those with additional learning needs. Experience of assessing student learning, maintaining records and producing reports is required, along with special needs experience or a willingness to take part in training. Working in a similar role in a school environment would be an advantage.
